To respond to the various issues of conventional drying (textural defects collapse-shrinkage and case hardening, microbiological contamination, poor rehydrability, degradation active molecules caused by high wet-bulb temperature, weak kinetics, marketing difficulty), swell-drying has proven relevance in combining processes with Instant Controlled Pressure Drop (D.I.C.). The international team "Research & Engineering Platform for intensifying Drying Processes (REPID)" studied phenomenological models experimental trials D.I.C. new Interval Hyper-Active (IHAD) processes. Currently, IHAD includes interval starting accessibility (ISAD), infrared airflow (IIRAD), microwave (IMAD).
